With every family, every generation, the legacies and stories will be different and will change. We believe the names of each descendant are properly placed, but keep in mind we are bound to have a mistake someplace. If you feel there is improper information here or you wish to further that information to help others, please respectfully submit your information in a comment to any post, so that we can have it verified and ensure that the correct information is placed properly. Please know that as we continue to current and verify descendants, those that are still living for their privacy and protection, we will only note their gender and their birth year - not the actual date. Christian Cones

Christan Cones (b.) abt 1740,  some resources vary noting  abt 1745 and (d.) presumed to be  Sept. 11, 1777 at the Battle of the Brandywine in Pennsylvania.
However, conflicting resources indicate that Christian either was not or could not of been in Pennsylvania during that time, that he could of been in the Lancaster Co., Virginia area around the same time frame. Again sources will be conflicting, it is up to us to verify what we can as we continue our search. Genealogist and Historians have done searches for various members of the Cones family and have concluded that one thing is for sure, Christian Cones is certainly MIA.
It is noted that Christian married an unknown Grant and has a son named Jacob Riley Cones, (b. 1760 – 1832), possibly two unknown daughters. However, an other resource notes this unknown Grant was possibly married prior to Christian. Still this information has yet to be confirmed and the search continues.  No other resources have been confirmed at this time on Christian’s final resting place and marital information.
A resource note from my own search is this:
Our family has an original copy of the the Cones Family in America, compiled by Chester W. Cones and various members of the Cones family. In going through this book and verifying each chapter – word for word – with my findings on ancestry; I have come to believe that there is a good possibility that it is true – that Christian did in fact have two possibly three brothers. Two names noted for sure that are possibilities: 1) Peter; 2) David.
An other resource indicates that Christian was one of four brothers. In that resource, it is believed that he is one of the four  noted siblings, with the other three being possibly David, Peter and an unknown name for the last brother.  —  Indications within this resource notes the following: Christian being killed crossing at the Battle of Brandywine in 1777, two brothers residing in Pennsylvania and one living in Kentucky. This information has yet to be confirmed, we are in the process on finalizing our findings.
At this time, I have been granted full permission and am currently working with one of Chester’s son to digitalize the original book as well as verify the details that have been compiled by Chester W. Cones.  As we work to verify his information, we will begin to current all details on our tree and revise the original format in with the newly revised and compiled information. All of this will be inlcluded in the digital edition.  —  This is currently still in the works and a release date is TBD.   — If any Cones descendant would like to help with the compiling, we welcome the help. If any descendant of the Cones would like a digital copy of eBook upon completion, please let us know.  —-  You can email here.
If you have any other resources that can be added, we welcome your resources and will work to verify them. Please understand that there are resources everywhere that must be verified before we can properly place them. No one resource is wrong or right. Every resource offers information that will lead to a missing puzzle piece to our Cones Lineage. Every generation has a story to offer about the Cones Family. Every family will have a different version. This does not make any one version wrong or right. It only helps to bring us a bit closer to the missing pieces. We would like to compare accounts on the history of the Cones Family. We know that there are different versions out there. If you would be interested in sharing yours with us, please feel free to do so, as this will help us to compile our information more accurately. We know that Chester W. Cones is not the only book compiled on our Cones Descendants. William W. Cones compiled his own book as well as Agnes Cones and various others. Can you help us in locating copies of these books?
