Welcome!

This is a blog for the descendants of the Cones Family in America. We welcome all descendants of the Cones Family here. Please feel free to ask any questions or help update any information here. Please understand that while we are still in the process of verifying information, all dates, names and other information are subject to change given reasonable documentation. With every family, every generation, the legacies and stories will be different and will change. We believe the names of each descendant are properly placed, but keep in mind we are bound to have a mistake someplace. If you feel there is improper information here or you wish to further that information to help others, please respectfully submit your information in a comment to any post, so that we can have it verified and ensure that the correct information is placed properly. Please know that as we continue to current and verify descendants, those that are still living for their privacy and protection, we will only note their gender and their birth year - not the actual date. This is to protect the identity of those still living. This blog is © 2014-2017 Cones Family.

An article I received on the Bridgford Memorial Cemetery

There has been a lot of talk in my search about the Bridgford Memorial Cemetery being known as the Cones-Bridgford Memorial Cemetery. I believe in Chester Wallace Cones book he even noted it briefly as being known as Cones-Bridgford Memorial Cemetery. However, in light of some in depth research by several Cones genealogist, one has stumbled upon this article noting that this cemetery was the Bridgeford Memorial Cemetery.

Now there have been various tales or family stories on this cemetery since Mary Ann Bridgeford married John G. Cones. However, family stories will differ by family. This is while compiling is difficult and also why it is nice to compile with other family members so we can bring versions together to fill in the gaps or missing pieces in our rather large puzzle.

Unfortunately, we do not have a date on this article or an exact newspaper. We presume it is the (now) Indianapolis Star. I have an email in requesting information on this article and a date. The authors name is noted in the article below but that is about all we can gather on time frame. When I know more I will post more.
