(Please note that I will also include these links
in the drop down box to use at anytime)
I landed some good resourceful links for the most part that are Free to Hoosier Residents and some that we would need to pay for to use.
However, I also landed some - that from what I gathered in the reply I got - anyone could use. I am still sifting through them to determine which ones are the 'anyone can use links.'
If I read the email correct, this would be a link that anyone can use:
- Hoosier State Chronicles -- (as it is a part of the Chronicling America archives.)
On the Chronicling America site you can search various newspapers across the country but the years are limited and between the years of 1836-1922.
Luckily with the Hoosier State Chronicles we can locate articels pre and post 1923. We have been able to locate some Obituaries through this site, so you want to keep this in mind. I did not specify a name at first, I just typed the surname and sifted through the articles that away. However, that became time consuming sifting through 1000 articles roughtly about 700 pages viewing 20 article titles at a time to see which one held my interest.
That being said I wanted to share with you some of the articles I located on various Cones descendants through out the Hoosier State. I have previously shared maybe one or two of them on this site or on ancestry. However, I am re-sharing because I have a resource link now to post with it not just a note saying 'family hand down resource'.
The first two articles I share are the same article, the left is zoomed it and the right is zoomed out for the full article on the name in the second column at the right.
The following articles include Constantine B. Cones and or direct descendants to him.
