We are searching for the following books on the Cones Family History. Please if you know where a copy is or have a copy and would be willing to talk with us, we would like to hear from you. 

• Emma Cones Reicherter - Emma is the author of 12 Diaries/Journals
• Chester W. Cones (I am currently revising now) (he did 2 books, one was the revision copy which is what I have) 
• Frank C. Cones  (2 books)
• Betty Belle Cones
• William Washington Cones
• Agnes Cones

Other Cones Family Books

We are putting this out there as a request. 

We know that there are at least 4 other Cones Family in America Books. Off the top of my head I think one was wrote by an Emma Cones and an other by William W. Cones and possibly a Frank Cones. Again off top my head, I have a list and the actual names of their books filed. We are seriously in search of these books. We have a few leads and would like to verify these or rule them out. But we would like to try and compare details or events. 

We are still working to wrap up the Cones Family In America update from Chester W. Cones. However we have had a few family emergencies (on my side of the family) causing delays and also due to my FIL's age and health he really wants to wrap up as much as we can on the small list of mysteries before us. He is well right now  but in his 80s and any thing can happen. So please again be patient with us. Time is of the essence to get as much as we can on some of these mysteries. 

In the last year we have had a few leads, hits and solved a couple of mysteries (finally).  We had a guy leave a message for us on our find a grave page that he had an album of pictures to some of Samuel Josephs brothers. On our page his name was a B. Oakley, he also is a descendant of Samuels as are we. (Do you know how we can reach him?)  We would like to speak with him on his reply, but he never replied back to our numerous replies.

If you know anyone who may have a copy of one of these other Cones Family books and can put us in contact with them we would like to speak to them. If they would be willing to allow us to view their book or get a scanned copy (we will pay) please let us know. 

Our projected goal to finalize this updated version is still the end of this year. We can always add more to the updated version at a later time or release our latest finds in phase 2 of this project. The goal is to get Chesters book in digital format. The updated information may have to be phase 2. Mostly because of the unforseen family emergencies that we have had over the last two years. This is our latest update and we will continue to keep you posted. Thank you for your patience.

Update

I have been MIA so to speak due to a family members sudden illness turning worse. But I am gradually making my way back. It has been a trying year already. I have a few leads I am currently working to check in to on Christian Cones with an other family member. 

We are currently moving forward in the book revision and I expect to have it ready to merge in to digital format before Spring of the coming year (2016) if not sooner. I don't want to give a sooner date and then not meet that deadline, however, I will post and update and keep you up to speed on the revision release date. I have stumbled on to a few things I need to check in to and verify before I can move forward. 

As always in the genealogy world when you have a lead or a hint that could prove to be a missing puzzle piece, why you want to make sure you stay with it until you can verify whether it is credible or not. So please bare with me.

Cones Family In America - Revision Update

Can I just say that CONES are MYSTERIOUS INDIVIDUALS!!!

Every corner we have turned we have uncovered an other mystery. No kidding.. 

We are currently still updating the revise part of the book. As we have been updating by each chapter we notice some glitches that we needed to correct and get updated. During this process we had a few descendants in some chapters pop up with some questionable resources and we needed to work to verify them.  

The original Cones Family book will be recopied and wrote just as it was originally wrote by Chester W. Cones. We will add the updated correct information and new information in the second half of the book. Which makes this big much bigger then the original copy. Thus the reason for taking a little longer. We have also met some new descendants that have helped in some of the compiling so we are continually updating and working hard to get this book produced and so we can digitalize it and get it in other Cones Descendants hands. Please be patient as we work through this hard long process. We want to ensure that the information is updated and more accurate best to our knowledge from the resources we are able to locate. 

We will try to include as much resource as we can, however, we may just note location or links if it become to time consuming. Again bare with us. ** We are looking for anyone within the direct descendant lineage of Samuel Joseph Cones **

Samuel Joseph Cones (1797-1866)

We are especially looking for Samuel's lineage as we are a part of his lineage. We would like to  include more pictures a long with what we can add.  Any of Samuel's children we for sure would like to hear from you and if you have pictures we would love to include them. Please contact us at the side of this blog.

Now that does not mean we are excluding descendants. No we are going to do our best to include all the we can and have. However, we know more about our descendants which is why we welcome compiled and confirmed information. Again feel free to contact us.

Now we are being quite specific when it comes to updating as close as living relatives. There may be some living relatives named within the book but discretely and carefully to protect privacy.  For instance the full name will be excluded. We will only note first initials of the name and genders of living relatives. I have not decided if we will list just the birth year or just the month and date. I want to be as careful as possible when updating any information closest to our living descendants for their privacy and protection. Just to give you an idea of the work we are doing. Very intense work, hang with us as we work to finish it. 


I am shooting to no later then fall for release. That is as long as we don't hit any more snags like recently. Oy!
